This is a listing of golf club sets for women that are the most popular this year, and have the best quality for the price. Some of these are the same brands that are used by golfers in the LPGA, but since these are full club sets with the bag included they are different from what the professional golfers use. These club sets are better suited for beginners or high handicap players, they are designed to offer the most forgiveness and distance for players that have slower swing speeds and less accuracy at hitting the sweetspot on the face of the clubs.

Women’s professional golf clubs can be similar to what the men use, the only major differences would be the shaft lengths that would generally be shorter, more flex, and possibly more of a pitch to get the ball higher in the air. The LPGA players use a lot of the same equipment that the PGA players use, similar drivers, iron sets with specific wedges, and they are particular about what putters they use also, so basically pros use a lot of different club brands and types.

Callaway Women’s Strata Complete, Plus, Ultimate, and Tour

Callaway makes a lot of great club sets to choose from for beginner golfers all the way up to really experienced golfers. Here are some best club sets to choose from, I will start with the most basic first.

Callaway Women’s Strata Complete Set is an 11 piece set which consists of 7 clubs, 3 head covers and a bag. The club set has a driver, a 5 wood and a 5 hybrid club, the irons are 7, 9 and sand wedge (SW), the putter is a mallet style putter with a T-style alignment marker to help with accuracy. The stand bag has 5 pockets and a cooler pocket, it also has a rain hood and backpack strap.

Callaway Women’s Strata Plus Complete Set is next one up from that and has some additional clubs, it is a 14 piece set with a driver, 5 wood and 5 hybrid. The irons include a 6,7,8 and 9 iron with a pitching wedge (PW) and a sand wedge (SW), a mallet style putter with a T-style alignment is also included. There are three head covers and a stand bag that are pretty similar to the Strata Complete set.

The next two club sets get a little more expensive and have better performance. The Strata Ultimate Women’s Complete is a 16 piece set that has a driver, 3 wood and two hybrids, the 4 and 5, four head covers included. With the irons you have clubs 6-9 and for the wedges you have a PW and SW. A blade style putter with a milled face design for better accuracy is included. The stand bag has a nice design with plenty of pockets, tee holders, and a back strap.

Callaway Strata Tour Women’s Complete 16 piece set has the same club configuration as the Ultimate set the differences are, the putter which is a mallet style made for more forgiveness and accuracy, and the actual clubs have a different design. These clubs are made to have even better performance than the Ultimate set, and this set has a durable cart bag with more features, instead of a stand bag.

The Callaway Women’s Solaire Complete set is a 13 piece set of great quality and performance. It includes an Odyssey putter, which is the #1 putter in golf. This is an excellent set and better suited for more experienced players, it is also more expensive than the other sets.

Wilson Women’s Ultra, Ultra Complete, and Profile XD

Wilson Golf Women’s Ultra Package Set is a good beginner set that has a driver, fairway wood, a hybrid and irons 6-9, a pitching wedge, heel/toe putter, cart bag and head covers. Clubs in this set have a large sweetspot for more forgiveness and deliver good distance as well.

The Wilson Women’s Ultra Complete Set is very similar to Ultra Package Set, but it is a little better quality with better customer ratings and slightly more expensive. The club configuration is the same as the clubs in the Ultra Package set, they are just a little different in appearance and quality.

Wilson Women’s Profile XD Complete Set is a better quality set than either of the Ultra sets, but is more expensive. The club configuration is similar to the others but there is an additional sand wedge, which is good to have around the greens. The Women’s Profile XD sets are more of a custom fit design, there are standard tall and petite sizes for women.

Cobra Women’s Fly Z S Complete, XL Complete, and 2018 F-Max Complete

Cobra Golf Women’s Fly Z S Complete set has a few different club configurations to choose from, and ranges in price from about $350-800 depending on what configuration you choose. The most basic has a driver, 5 wood, 5 hybrid, 7 iron, PW, SW and a putter, the most expensive has a driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, 4 hybrid, 5 hybrid, irons 6-9, PW, SW and putter. This set has great forgiveness, distance and quality.

The Women’s Cobra XL Complete is another great set for the money, it’s basically in the middle for price and quality of Cobra women’s club sets. If you want the best quality and performance then consider the F-Max Complete set.

Cobra Women’s 2018 F-Max Complete Set has an offset driver, fairway woods 3, 5, and 7, irons 6-9, PW, SW, and a mallet putter. These clubs will give you maximum distance and forgiveness, and there is also a full feature cart bag for your clubs. An exceptional set but very expensive.

Other Beginner Club Set Choices

The Knight Women’s 12 Piece Complete Golf Set is a good beginner set for a very affordable price. This set has a driver, 3 wood, 4/5 hybrid, irons 6-9, PW, and a putter. A good basic starter set that includes two head covers and a cart bag.

Aspire makes a couple of good women’s club sets, the Aspire X1 and XD 1 club sets are similar in price and the club configuration is the same. This set comes with a stand bag and three head covers for the driver, fairway wood and hybrid, there is also a dual strap for carrying the bag.

Believe Ladies Complete Golf Set is a really nice set with everything you need. The price is higher than that of the Knight or Aspire sets but the quality is there, it has every club that you will need out on the course including the sand wedge and mallet putter. The cart bag has a 14 way divider, 7 pockets, glove holder, towel ring, rain hood and umbrella sleeve. There are four head covers for the driver, 3 wood, 4 hybrid and 5 hybrid, all the club shafts are graphite.

Tour Edge Women’s Lady Edge Golf Full Set is another great set that costs a little more like the Believe golf set, but it is a good quality set. Tour Edge has a pretty good selection of different ladies club sets to choose from, there are beginner sets all the way up to the more expensive ones for experienced players.

Choosing Your Club Set

It can be a difficult decision choosing what set is right for you. Callaway has a lot of women’s sets to choose from that I think are good ones for the cost and quality. The name brand club sets will have better resell value if you decide to upgrade to another new set, so that’s something to keep in mind.

The Wilson sets are cheaper and the Cobra sets are more expensive. If the name of the club set isn’t an issue to you then some other beginner sets might be of interest to you, some of them are really good quality with pretty much everything you need for the money.
